GreenWheel

Look out Missoula bikers, scientists from MIT have invented something to make your life a little easier. They have invented a motorized bike tire, which they call the GreenWheel. The bike has a range of 25 miles, unless the biker is pedaling which would double the range. The wheel can be charged by either pedaling or by plugging it in.

And if you are concerned with the environment, the greenwheel cuts carbon emissions, the bike it is also made through environmentally friendly process done by A123 Systems.

However there may be one drawback to the GreenWheel, the tire has to have wires connected to and from the batteries, generator and motor.
